Solidarity to serve education in Etetak: 101 free school children by 2025, but the project needs more support to continue development
By François Urbain LEUGA MOUMI
The end of the 2025-2026 school year marks a new stage for the Etetak Educational Center for All. Thanks to the Etetak Education Health Project and the solidarity of numerous benefactors, 101 children have received a completely free education this year. This growth is especially significant if we take into account that the project welcomed 27 students in 2023, then 63 in 2024, until reaching 101 beneficiaries in 2025. However, despite this encouraging development, the financial resources currently available do not yet allow for the construction of a new classroom or the hiring of an additional teacher. Therefore, with a view to the start of the school year in September 2026, the same number of 101 students will be maintained under the current reception conditions.
Faced with this situation, the Etetak Education Health Project calls on the generosity of individuals, companies, associations, foundations and institutions committed to the cause of education. Each contribution, no matter how small, is a concrete investment in a child’s future. The funds raised will not only consolidate the successes achieved by the project, but also promote its development to offer more educational opportunities to disadvantaged children.
As the next school year approaches, the Etetak Educational Center for All will begin, during the first week of July, the 8th edition of the Etetak Vacaciones Útiles program. This initiative will offer vacation classes, school reinforcement activities, cultural workshops, sports and recreational activities, as well as spaces for coexistence, exchange and discovery. The goal is for children to enjoy an enriching vacation while consolidating their knowledge in a healthy, stimulating and safe educational environment.
Beyond the numbers, this project represents a real opportunity for children who, without this support, could be exposed to school dropout and the numerous social problems that affect the most vulnerable young people. Since 2023, the history of the Etetak Educational Center for All has shown that solidarity can transform lives. Let’s continue to promote this initiative together to make education a lasting tool of hope, dignity and future for the children of Etetak.
